Women Entrepreneurs Honoured At 2014 Cartier Women's Initiative Awards

2014 Awards See Six New Laureates from Nigeria, The USA, Brazil, India, Egypt and Italy Named During The Women's Forum in Deauville, France

Cartier International- the globally renowned luxury goods brand- is delighted to announce the winner of it's 8th annual Cartier Women's Initiative Awards, which coincided with the 10th Women's Forum Global Meeting in Deauville, France.  

The global competition, launched in 2006 by Cartier in conjunction with the Women's Forum, McKinsey & Co. and INSEAD business school, was set up to identify, support and encourage projects by female entrepreneurs in their most vulnerable phase – women entrepreneurs starting-up. 

Since their establishment in 2006, the Awards have supported over 125 promising female business-owners and given recognition to a further 38 Laureates.

From a shortlist of 18, six Laureates globally, one from each region, received the Cartier Women’s Initiative Award, along with $20,000 in funding, a full year of coaching, lifetime access to the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards community and unique networking and visibility opportunities.

The six 2014 laureates have been announced as:  

  • LAUREATE 2014 FOR LATIN AMERICA - Bel Pesce, FazINOVA, BRAZIL
  • LAUREATE 2014 FOR NORTH AMERICA - Eleni Antoniadou, Transplants Without Donors, UNITED STATES
  • LAUREATE 2014 FOR EUROPE - Carla Delfino, Imperial Europe, ITALY
  • LAUREATE 2014 FOR SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA - Achenyo Idachaba, MitiMeth, NIGERIA
  • LAUREATES 2014 FOR ASIA-PACIFIC - Diana Jue & Jackie Stenson, Essmart Global, INDIA
  • LAUREATE 2014 FOR MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA - Mariam Hazem, Reform Studio, EGYPT
